Tom was originally hired by the NYC Transit Police on Jan 9, 1986. Tom made Sgt with the Transit police in 1993 but his favorite assignment was the Decoy Squad where he worked with a team and conducted decoy operations (robbery victim) in the NYC subways. The NYC TPD/NYPD Merger took place April 1 1994 and within 3 years Tom found himself as a Sgt and Lt. in the NYPD detective bureau where he worked in the 7-7 and 7-9 Detective Squads and finally retiring as the Cold Case Squad Commander.

Since retiring Tom has worked with a few vendors that provide law enforcement with advanced technology and is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Vetted Holdings. Vetted's companies provide LPR, CCTV and law enforcement data sharing among many other technologies.

Tom is happily married to his wife Susan and has 3 wonderful boys. One is a police officer in DC, one is an Intel Analyst in the US Army and the third is in elementary school.
