Jason Smith was a captain and the intelligence commander for the Milwaukee Police Department, which included the Southeastern Wisconsin Threat Analysis Center, one of 77 state and major urban area fusion centers. Smith led a diverse team dedicated to creating an intelligence-led policing environment through prevention and enforcement initiatives. A 25-year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department, he previously supervised criminal investigation teams in homicide, robbery, and intelligence sections of the department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau. Smith served as the Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Wisconsin Department of Justice under Governor Scott Walker, providing guidance and leadership to the state’s law enforcement community.
